Hjemmelagets seriepremiere her på Islecroft Stadium endte med tap. Forrige sesong ble 8 seiere, 0 uavgjorte og 9 tap prestert her på hjemmebane i serien.
Dalbeattie Star tapte sin forrige match, mot Stirling University (på 7. plass), med resultatet 0-5. Som man ser ble det et småstygt resultat sist, og mannskapet er nok både glade og litt nervøse foran denne muligheten til å slå tilbake.
Nest ferskeste match var tapet på eget gress mot Edinburgh University (1-3).Noen hos vertene har kanskje allerede tenkt litt frem mot neste match, Football League - Lowland League-møtet mot Cumbernauld Colts om kun tre dager. Også den spilles her på Islecroft Stadium.
Såpass tidlig i sesongen behandler vi alle tall med en viss skepsis, men tallenes tale er at hjemmelaget har gjort 1 mål og sluppet inn 3 på sine 1 hjemmekamp så langt.
Edusport har muligens noe å hevne i dette oppgjøret ettersom de tapte hjemme sist. Bo'ness United var for sterke når laget tapte 0-2 foran egne hjemmefans på Galabank.
Det kampresultatet kom i etterkant av hjemmetriumfen mot Gretna 2008 (6-0).Edusport Academy har nok en bortekamp, i Football League - Lowland League, om tre dager. Da skal de innta bortegarderoben til East Stirlingshire.
